I agree, It looks very good and I think that it is very good that the backgrounds are lighter than amoebes skins is a relief for an old man like me :?

It's a bit hard for my eyes to read black text on dark brown background.

Amoebe, maybe you could reconsider you choice of background colors, for example in the mixer and the file explorer

A little bit lighter here and there and we have an even more perfect skin....

nah - it's rather a matter of taste I guess - my eyes as well aren't the best (actually I should wear glasses but don't do) - but I love soft 'warm' colours ('swedish palette') whereas too strong contrasts cause me some sort of physical pain...

Maybe a monitor thingy? I compared them and still prefer my own colour palette. I won't change the original but I could post a brighter version in this thread. Limited edition!
('swedish palette')
You're sure? I was more thinking of a Dutch palette myself.

no, I'm not sure, but for what it's worth I've googled it and found:
Pale Tones of white, cream, and light blue are staples of Swedish decor. Look for them on walls, furniture, flooring, and accessories. Hues of yellow, light pink, foggy gray, and misty green are also seen, as are deeper accents of gold and red.

Other than white, blue may be the most popular color in the Swedish palette. It evokes clear skies even in the dreary days of winter. Blues combine easily with white, cream, yellow, gold, and red.
but actually I haven't got a clue about design

I am using a 20" flat screen from LG named Flattron L2010P that is color adjusted for graphical work. Most people that see it just loves it.... :P

As I am swedish..... and live in the dark woods.... I would prefer a more mediterainean bakground palette (just love the food and colors down there) :D
(or maybe a swedish midnight sun version)

But I would be very proud to use a Limited edition personally signed by amoebe:

To my friend falke, amoebe!!!!

you know like booksigning or so.....

Berend, I was looking into your site just now, and found some of your tunes.

I must say that I like "Slowly going down".
(Can I have a signed, limited edition, amoebe eXT skin now?)

Grovelling won't help  but still I did finish a lighter version tonight. It won't be around forever, and I didn't sign it either.

Glad you like one of my tunes.

Quite different from mine monitor, which is big, but too dark at the start, and too light after 30 minutes. Still I cope.

Hi guys. Just added a 'Color random button' in the Gui editor that works on colors and bitmap pixels of the skin...

Here's an example of default skin after clicking the Randomm button 150 times...problem is, it never looks better than the original :x
