Mixer, what should I buy?

Yup, know that feeling. Used to have the Tascam M2600 32 channel mixer. What a board! Glad it's gone now though. I like the small footprint of my Roland VM3100, and I really don't need that many inputs anymore either also helps. ;) Size does not matter, but it sure was pretty to look at! :)

Well I just ordered the Mackie 1402, Got a good deal I think, $421 including shipping, from BSW in Washington State USA. Will be here in 2 days. Could not wait any longer money burning hole in pocket. :D

If you only need a few inputs, then why not check some of the Sound Devices stuff. I used one of their little mixers once on a field recording trek, very good! I'd imagine it would blow you average Makie type mixer completely out of the water in terms of quality (and the Makie's aint at all bad!).
