So the Win32 installer is bigger than than the Win64 installer? :o

Will it work if I got 8GB RAM on my computer?
The Thorus VST2 plugin for Windows has a size of around 62 MB which is quite much for a FX plugin but still reasonable IMO.

The Win32 installer includes as well stuff in case the user install the 32bits application on a 64bits OS hence more stuff than the 64bits version

Thorus is retina compatible so this lead to bigger UI assets

Just bought Thorus as it is a very nice aditiona to Chorus plugins i already own (including e.g. the very powerful ValhallaÜberMod). Has a nice clean sound that could be very nice to many other Chorus plugins that add a lot of "character" to the sound. With all 8 voices and the "Wide" mode Thorus could sound really big and/or fat.

Got the Thorus serial in my account directly after purcjhase and from the UVI account i could then transfer it to my iLok account (had to enter my iLok ID). After that it was available in the iLok License Manager and i transfered the license to my iLok 2 key.

Bought it last night. The main thing I like is that its capable of lots of sounds that don't immediately yell 'oh that's got chorus on it'.

I just bought Thorus, I have Falcon but really like the full UI for working with effects and it will nice to be able to move the effect to other material created in Kaleidoscope. I really like the UVI effect interfaces starting with Relayer and now this..
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Falcon has this exact chorus built in?

Yeh.

oh my what a rip lol didn't even know
What do you mean? Rip off?

If so: what is the rip off, in your opinion? That they dare to include a high quality chorus plugin in their flagship synth lol?

That their flagship-synth doesn't seem to have audio in lol?

That they dare to ask money for a high quality chorus fx-plugin lol?

It isn't a rip off, imho (i use falcon, and i love it). But an audio in would be a very nice and welcome addition. Almost needed... ;)

I second that motion...

But would that request then not rather belong into the Falcon thread, than in this one here?

If Falcon had an audio in, there would be no reason for owners to buy their reverb plug. You can always render an audio track, then play that in one of Falcon's sample oscillators; not the most elegant solution, but it will let you use the built-in effects on pretty much anything.

To stay on topic, I did buy Thorus a little bit ago. Now if my wife would quit finding things around the house that need done, I might get to play with it.
I wish I could sing as well as the voices inside my head...

It is either way their decision - some synths have audio-ins, so that you can use them as FX, many don't - if for you it is a requieremnt that a synthesozer plugin has audio-in, then you don't buy Falcon and move elsewhere - plenty of stuff to choose from. In any case it hardly qualifies as a "rip off" of the developer/ vendor decides for this or that reason not to implement audi-inputs into a synthesizer. And neither does it qualify as a rip-off if the developers decides to also sell effect plugins.

They decide what they sell, you decide what you purchase. It is - as always - as simple as that.
