More or less the whole point of documentaries is to revisit the past no? :D

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

A bunch from some channel that is new (so we can expect girly shows and MMA soon on it  )

One about Rush (something about kings, excellent) one about the LA scene (very good) and have something about clapton and SRV recorded.

I also saw one on "Allman Brothers" that was really good (I didn't know he was married to Cher  ) and that one about Lynard Skynard (which I HATED)

I also hated "Jaco" ... it was embarrassing. Maybe it gets better but I was so pissed about the racist crap in the first 15/20 minutes I just couldn't enjoy it at all. Too bad, he was the greatest.

Protocol_b wrote:'The Wrecking Crew'. Apparently there was only one actual band playing in the 60's. Very enlightening.
If you liked that, check out 'Muscle Shoals' to see the 70's version.

I had three to contribute, two have been said; So I second DIG! about The Brian Jonestown Massacre and the Dandy Warhols (probably the best of my three)

I also recommend; The Devil and Daniel Johnston

The third (that hasn't been mentioned) is End of the Century , about The Ramones.

This one's good too... but I doubt you guys would like it :hihi:

I think the filmmakers had trouble getting the rights to some of the music used, so they just "leaked it" themselves... so don't feel guilty about watching it for free on youtube :P :

ABSOLUTELY!

Two gems.

Ok, so once you get past the "obvious propaganda one race vs another" nonsense, I'd recommend the one on Stevie Ray Vaughn (if you have DTV)

Learned a lot about him and the early days. Man, it took a stroke of luck to get him on the map, thankfully, that happened.
