aciddose - the post I was referring to is on page 177. My post is the 7th on the page and yours is the 8th. It looks to me as if you are correcting me. I don't know how else to take it. It really doesn't matter, but I was addressing your correction to my point to elevated being.

There's a readme html page with the download that tells you where to place the relevant files to change the GUI skins

Post

Im not sure but this is all that mine says.
OB-Xd v1.3
Compiled using dozius fork and Soshi Studio GUI code.
Included manual and presets.
Removed donations.
Windows setup
32 bit DAW: Put Obxd.dll to VST folder.
64 bit DAW: Put Obxd64.dll to VST folder.
Mac OS X setup
Run installer or:
Put Obxd.component to Library / Audio / Plug-Ins / Components.
Put Obxd.vst to Library / Audio / Plug-Ins / VST.
Skins
Make OB-Xd folder in your Documents location.
Put Skins / Blue / main.png file to Documents / OB-Xd folder.
Classic skin: Put Skins / Classic folder to Documents / OB-Xd folder.
Maybe something went wrong and i dont have everything but its certainly seems like all its saying is create a folder called obxd in your documents folder and put the png file in it which for me does nothing but put a png file in a folder.

Post

Be sure to name the folder "OB-Xd" in your documents folder.
Then COPY the "main.png" from the "blue" folder (in skins) and put THAT FILE in the "OB-Xd" folder.

Good luck.

Thats doing nothing here on Windows 10 but creating a folder in documents and putting a png file in it. When you bring up the vst is it going to somehow reference this file in some way or another because thats not happening. Im not seeing the magic here.

Wait a minute yes it did. Thanx pal. I was bringing up the 1.1 version but seems the 1.3 changed to the blue one. Before Yeager explained it. Im was assuming when the directions say Put Skins / Blue / main.png file to Documents / OB-Xd folder. that it meant put the whole skins folder in there but apparently they mean just the png file labeled main all by itself in a folder that you create called OB-Xd. Thanx for clarification. You Rock.

Cool 8) now enjoy your BLUE skin :) :hyper:

For the blue skin copy only the main.png, for the classic skin (which has another size) copy the folder.

Do you also notice a higher CPU usage for the new 1.3 version? (Windows 7, SaviHost, 32bit)

EDIT: Confirmed also in Reaper.

So, who is responsible for this new version?

Beats me, but the Soshi Studio site is gone :(

The tested patch was: BzKey_Plastic_piano (bank "OBXD KVR Bank - Keys + Bells + Plucked.fxb"), 3 notes pressed in repetition.

In Reaper I have 3% cpu old version, 7% new version.

ok, i pulled up that exact patch in savihost and started hitting notes in repetition and cpu maxed
out at 13% still nowhere near 34% i wonder if it has to do with the windows version, the CPU type or both?

Ok, @44.1 that patch peaks at 23% cpu in savi. The remaining diff may be related to the CPU. It's a business laptop with core i7 2.6 GHz.
