Samplitude Prox2, foot punching

Hi there.
Currently trying Samplitude Prox 2, I am attempting to get a midi foot switch to toggle record.
For those who are familiar with this DAW,
I went to the hardware controller settings, and created a new hardware controller which I called foot punch, which I assigned to my master keyboard.
I'm lucky enough to have a keyboard with 2 foot switch jacks, one is doing sustain of course, and the other one is sending CC65, portamento, which I never use as such. It is a real foot switch Jack, I am not trying to plug a foot switch into a foot controller Jack.
Now, I was able to assign this newly created hardware controller to Samplitude's record button, but that was as far as I could go. I can't figure out how to assign CC65 to this controller.
Can anyone help?
Best,
JPR

wow I never thought of this, I use pro x2 and have two keyboards (controllers) and the pedals to do the same but I always just use the autopunch because it's so fast combined with the comparisonics for seeing right where to put the points. TBH I have tried setting up my controllers to control my transport and I am missing something, others get it to work and I know kraznet or someone has a video tut but I think that is for assigning a key to the transport...still the process should be the same...I have had no luck yet.
I would check at the samp forum though I bet kraznet responds here, I will be eager to see the answer

You know what, I would love to see this video.
Plus I tried to create an account on the Sam forum but it didn't work. Each time I try I get an error message.

Hey, thanks a lot! That sounds easy enough.
I'll try that.

Hello again.
So, I tried reproducing the steps in that video, I believe I did everything right but the MIDI learn button does not appear when it is supposed to.
Is it something that appeared in a very recent version? The version I am using is 13.1.3.176 (DC2) and I cannot update to a more recent one for the
moment because I'm blind, and later versions do not support screen readers at the moment.
Anyway, is there something else you have to do to make the MIDI learn button appear? I followed exactly what the video said, even made sure I was
on a midi track, even though I don't think it matters.
But is there anything else in Samplitude setup to configure?
Thanks a lot for your help,
Best regards,
JPR
