Kick - Nicky Romero Artist Edition Kick 2

I have tested pretty much every major kick synth on the market and to be honest, you only need Kick. It´s that versatile. With that said, it might be useful to have another kick synth work as a character enhancer (as a second kick/top layer), and for that PunchBox may be the choice. It has some unique character (like all the rest). But to me, PunchBox isn´t so versatile that you can rely on it in every musical context.

I love to kick synth.
However, new product looks best Stacker of SampleMagic.
In order to make even snare sound.

To be honest, I am not really the 'intended' market for this kind of plug. However, it struck me (while demoing) that it's exactly because I don't have a workflow for such things, that a specialised program might be pretty useful. Besides, I think these are quite useful for more than just thumping four-to-the-floor kicks.

Having said that, I am not looking to fall down a rabbit-hole, and have to use multiple, specialised kick programs :)

I like the use of the waveform in Kick2, and managed to get pretty quick results. However, there is something about punchbox that made it seem more diverse (I didn't get this impression from the demo, but from a few youtube videos)

I am not in such a rush to jump on something like this. The only thing that was causing a little pressure was the intro offer on punchbox.

Anyway, for the moment, I think I will spend some more time in battery4, ultrabeat etc., to see how well I fare. If I can get close to the punch of some of these dedicated synths then I might not have to buy either

Cheers :tu:

Just wanted to say that I haven't touched any kick sample since I own Kick 2.
I think it's really good.
Ok, I don't own that much drums synths(microtonic and tremor)....but I really like the quick workflow.

The envelopes for pitch and amp are great. makes you tune your kick with ease to your liking. Also think the compressor and the drive sound good on it.

Cheers

What about the patch converter for Windows? Is there one yet?
Oups, seems to be part of the installation.

Anybody tried to activate Kick 2 lately for an offline machine? I even revoked the activations for my other two machines I had activated before (so now I have no machines activated), but no matter what I do I get this error message:

#kik2ror.jpg

Contacted support, got a reply that suggested me to try again, then for my next two replies I got total silence.

EDIT: They managed to fix the activation bug on December 31. :o
