My guess is that the 'magic' of the Virus is in the hardware and once it was a softsynth it would be competing against the amazing array of soft synths available today. Due to name they might be able to charge a high price initially, but my guess is it would not hold. For example, I don't think the Virus filters are in the same league as the latest analogue emulated filters available now.goldenanalog wrote:

Access should stick to hardware. That is how they can maintain their mystique. I'm doubtful that they can compete with the quality level and diversity of the software world.
