This might sound crazy, but the other day I was thinking, "Most of the sonically innovative music seems to be in Soundcloud synth demos."

That said, to me, I don't have to be wowed by "new" sounds if the music is good. I somehow avoided the new one from Rich, so I just put it on. I'm only wearing my crappy (though oddly good sounding) Motorola stereo headsets that I mostly use for podcasts. I dig it. Did he really do everything on a Korg MS2000? I had one of those babies a long time ago... Fun to use but I never thought it bowled me over sonically. When I had to downsize, due to a move, I let it go and I've honestly never missed it much.

OK, I'm on the second track now and I will say that this EP would probably sound a lot better if he had mixed in some warmer sounding analogs in for variety. Nothing brings out your digital like some good analog, ma used to say.

i'd avoid dwelling on or continuing with this thought too much. once you lose the taste for "full program" it's tougher to access. synth demos are the path to musical oblivion.
you come and go, you come and go. amitabha neither a follower nor a leader be tagore "where roads are made i lose my way" where there is certainty, consideration is absent.

Wow, that's pretty good! Thank you for sharing this! I'm a fan of John Frusciante "Trcikfinger" acid techno album (bought it on iTunes), but this compilation is a lot better, there's some cathy melodies there. :tu:

Frusciante, acid techno and IDM? Wow!

Downloading 'Renoise Tracks' right now...
