Ok...so I thought I would love the WamiRack192x...so I bought one upgrading from a Noiseblaster

I get it the other day....and If I had explosives....lemme tell ya....

I spent the entire weekend trying to get it to work...its insane. I figured it may be because I was doing something wrong....cause I dont really know a ton about them...but...couldnt find much in the way for support for them....and I was let down. Not to mention the waste of the $$

I could get a red power light....could send midi information through it...could here stereo and mono switches when I clicked the GUI Console items...but No matter how I tried I could get no sound from it or to it.

I tried every driver the company has out...and none worked or helped.

So Unless anyone here has any suggestions on something I may be doing wrong....I'm going to box it up and send it back. It just should not be that hard to get audio...had no irq conflicts or anything.

So my question is....since I made a bonehead buy...I got around 500usd to spend on a card....could I get some suggestions on good ones for that price range?

I would really appreciate it...thanks alot! You peeps here are great!

Wanna do some quality recording ya know :)so that DA AD is pretty important...

I swapped mu Pulsar 2 card for the Emulator X studio. I have to say that the d/a convertors are freaking amazing.... the cheaper £129 card they do pisses on audiophiles or anythingin the same price range. The onboard fx are a bit cack and the routing can be a bit of a pain sometimes, but quality wise it rocks.

Yeah, irony of ironies, one of the best PCI cards money can buy these days comes from Creative...

(Just make sure you get an M version with the top-end converters.)
