how well organised are you and do you feel it's an essential quality for progression in electronic music ?

I actually organise stuff for a living. As a result, I am really disorganised at home, but fortunately my little nest of vipers organises my personal life and free time for me.

but do you feel like someone well organised in his studio will always have better results ?
i mean i often start on thousands of things and i never finish stuff
same for all the vsti and vsi`s i tried out

probably. I've never worked with anyone else, but my biggest problem at present is time. There's loads of things I want to do both musically and housekeeping wise, but I never get enough time. The end result is I spend the little time I get playing around and not organising myself

yeah same for me
and all these modern communication tools don't help me in getting extra time either
so after gratifying my writing addiction / sms addiction / phoning addiction / erotic addiction / vsti/vste trying out addiction
/ singing addiction / visiting friends addiction / visiting family ..... whats left to actualy make a track or two

well at the moment i`m taking care of my brothers household (he`s on vacation)
unfortunetly his cat got hit by a car so he needs attention
so no music making for me - but i know when i have the time there will always be something else

I'm the same. In a world (my own that is) that has to be so straight forward all the time I can't face it at home.

I never finish a tune anymore. I don't have much time for one, but I am so unorganised in planning out a plan of attack that my ideas never seem to forulate past a tune in my head.

Sometimes I think that I should stick to my band only and realize that I suck at this shit. But then I remember that I got into this as a hobby and that it's not that serious if I don't do anything with it. Then I forget about it and continue to do nothing. Great huh?
