Have a blast!
But in Bitwig page it said (Ubuntu 12.04, Ubuntu 14.04). I can't find that AVLinux is Ubuntu based. Yes, they are Debian based, but not sure how compatible will be with Bitwig, while KXStudio is Ubuntu based. Anyway, let's install and see what's new in Bitwig 1.3.12 for now and then checking the Linuses later
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Thread is officially overtaken by Bitwig.Mister Natural wrote:No one has mentioned LIVEIntro . . .
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here?

Sorry, it's my fault.
Live Intro is a great budget DAW. It has 16 tracks limitation and 8 scenes. It's also missing some great plugins from the Standard edition especially The Glue and the big EQ. But it can be found in the market place for $50 or so which worth it IMO.

My background is from Cubase/S1/Sonar and I've had a quick try on Tracktion... I still didn't know how to set a 1 bar pre-count during recording. How to insert VST inst/FX. Oh well, I will try again this week. But the UI is a big diff when comparing the DAW I have mentioned above!
