Well said. Just the reason to keep the drums, at least IMO.
But in the end, do whatever your heart tells you :)

Greats colors in this track, have to say.

It's a little complicated...

If you mean samples as in samples/loops of rhythms, no.

I play and record everything, but I do use one-shots sometimes (to manually replace beats).
In case of complex rhythms with three or more drums, I'm bound to make mistakes with a drum (hitting too early/late), and then I'll go to replacing that drum with one-shots, which is time-consuming and tedious.
And I always replace the shakers I record with one-shots as they don't really survive the noise-reduction process... I'll get a professional soundcard one day... :)
Making these (small :? ) mistakes is, I feel, acceptable for live playing, but not really for studio albums...

I'm really glad people love my hand-drumming, but I'm no magician or virtuoso
One day I'd like to be able to create a groove with three or more drums, without having to replace one of them (or two for that matter) with one-shots
Maybe I'm being too self-critical, but I feel like I'm cheating if I do that. Trying too hard for human perfection I guess  :?

thanks cloudspine
i been thinkin of investin in a small set, mainly to layer behind programmed stuff just to add a little live feel.this is spurring me on 8)

new version right up my alley ...
it's a dark , shrouded alley , filled with
rainwater puddles , gloomed by fog ...

faint clicks and squeaks bounce from the walls ...

from afar , the sound of breaking glass ...

Hey vurt,

Really dig this (no drum version - orig. version still downloading).

Love some of the sounds, especially the voicy bits (is that the bent speak&spell?)

Had an idea to do some mix up on the sounds, wondering if you're open to having remixes done?

Cheers,
Steve

glad you enjoyed, but no speak and spell here gimme a minute to open her up and ill give a list 8)

first sound we hear is stylophone vst :D then screamer(an orion generator)
next up is a krakli creation called complement
then sampletank free for guitar :D
and orions sampler for the pad solo bit useing the dsp boros voice
plus some fx of course 8) :D

as for remixes lemme know how you need it 8)

Talented man, that Mr. Krakli. Complement being an exclusive plug I assume.

All I need is the mp3 (which I have, of course). You'll barely recognize a lot of it once I'm done mangling, so the lossy format isn't an issue for me.

I'll post when I'm done (should be next few days).

Cheers,
Steve

think complement was given as a prize to people who entered one of his comps way back 8)

Thought I was gonna love this when I heard the opening, similar sound to Bug Powder Dust but as it went on I just went off it.

Sorry Vurt but this just isn't one of my faves of yours. Don't really like the guitar and think the whole thing jumps about to much.

Song gave me the feeling I was being chased by angry dogs (normal Sat night out then  ). I'm sure it was meant to sound that dark. Just to dark for me.

Look forward to the next one though. :D

[EDIT] Actually preferred the drum version.

[RE-EDIT] I'll get my coat...
