Lost every interest in this one after 4th page.
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

Well, it sometimes can be an interesting social study. :) At least this pointed me again to the nice Lancy Thackeray skin which i just tried out. Looks, and handles fantastic.

Yes, because Windows is constantly updated. I can't say that about Sylenth. It took how much years for Lennar Digital to make a 64 bit version?

They'er pretty active now though, also with bug fixing and support. Did you check their KVR forum section as of late?

Where I'm coming from is essentially just a response to the "This is the only synth that will do this, nothing sounds like it, I can pick it out of a mix in a second" crowd. I read all of these, what I consider, very narrow minded and biased posts about synth sounds and it makes me laugh because, like I've pointed out, most times you can't tell what synth is actually being played.....
Who said that? You made it up. No one was talking about "recognizing" the synths! We were talking about what makes Sylenth good or bad and how it's sound ... etc.

What I take from your words that you basically have one library to sell but for different synths. Of course with this you feel all the synths sound the same!

You don't care about the synth itself because it's just a name for you and the goal is to "apply" a generic library to it and sell it! I don't know man! If this is a smart plan!!

If you read other sound designers, you will find that they do that library or this one especially for that synth. At least the good designers!

Man! I advice you to go out, talk to people and have a fresh air. The more you isolate yourself, the more you believe in your genius vs people's stupidities ;)
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

Yeah. It's a bit black and white all this. Noone said that "this is the only synth that will do this". Rather "this synth can do it the best". It's not about recognition in a mix either. It's rather like you don't have to work hard to make it sit in the mix, or to do certain sounds you would have to work on harder on other synths.

Take all this with a pinch of salt. Even though i like Sylenth1, i like Spire for typical sounds it can do even better. See, talking about synths, and which you consider can do the job. If every synth can do the job for you, fine. I disagree.

And once again Wagtunes managed to completely ruin a thread.

So why sell synth patch libs, if you can't tell what noise it makes anyhow :hihi:

Talk about sawing off the branch you are sitting on :P

OK so as the thread starter I can really end this discussion. I got the answer in like the first two pages of the thread. But then it went south. So I just leave this here, and thanks all for the input.
