We composed a midi-file in CakeWalk Pro Audio 9, and one of the drum tracks behaves weird in way we haven’t seen before:
In the overview the track extends way beyond it’s last event. Depending on the scrolling direction, it sometimes shows content and sometimes it doesn’t, but these “ghost-notes” never produce a sound. It’s impossible to delete the superfluous part of the track (and copying the notes to a new track causes the new track to do the same), so Cakewalk thinks the song lasts 19 minutes instead of 8:40. when we import the song in Fruity Loops we have the same problem. This is pretty annoying when exporting it as a wave (takes ages). We have looked through the event lists of all tracks and there’s no actual content whatsoever beyond 8:40. spooky uh?
The only thing that might possibly be considered slightly odd about the drum track would be that it’s around 3500 notes big…. But that’s not supposed to cause trouble is it?
Anyone knows a good exorcist or the phone-number of the Ghostbusters?
