Sorry for the massive bump, but a question recently came to mind; will there, possibly, in future, be a way for owners of Synthmaster 2 to download Synthmaster 1, or be able to access an archive type system of downloading any previous version? Don't know how practical this would be, but it would be cool to see what came before.

Hi all, I'm having a bit of a signal flow problem - searched the user manual but it does not cover my issue. So here it is - see picture attached - on the global FX page -> Global FX routing I can use an EQ, but where can the parameters can be edited? No matter what I do, the FX page keeps the same 6 FX. Any ideas?

You have to go to the FX1 tab, in the same section as the routing.sircuit wrote:Hi all, I'm having a bit of a signal flow problem - searched the user manual but it does not cover my issue. FX1 Tab will list the effects contained in top right "Layer FX Routing" section. Which is currently empty, so my FX1 tab is empty also. I think I'll resume to use only the visible Global FX - this is the least confusing way. Cheers

Meanwhile I've discovered: The FX which are not on the Synth FX page get "stolen" with their current settings from the Layer x Inserts to the Bus x Inserts. If I want to further edit parameters on that module I have to insert it again in Layer x / Insert x so it will appear again in Layer's FX page (and subsequently disappear from Bus x insert). That's a really, really cumbersome way to implement insert FX, got to say
Step one: Synthmaster init preset Step two: Right click -> Insert EQ1 on Bus 1 / Insert 1. The EQ on Layer 1 / Insert 5 gets "stolen" As you can see in the Layer 1 / FX1, there is no EQ anymore.

Click on "Automatic" so you'll understand that this is just how the Matrix will sort the modulation sources & destinations.
Now, in order to actually modulate something, select "ADSR2" for example, click the ADSR2 text and drag it to the filter cutoff. Now you'll see an actual modulation (source/dest) in the matrix.
Be aware that many presets have "Easy" knob already associated with the cutoff so if you want to effect the Cutoff via ADSR2 (as in my example) you must either tweak the Easy source amount or the Easy parameter on the "Presets" page (the one with all 8 easy knobs).

I tried to MIDI learn the controls on my controller to the parameters on Synthmaster, specifically the faders to the layer volume controls. If I remember correctly, I could map the layer 1 volume, but not layer 2 or the master volume. At the time, everything was set to send CC messages in order, fader 1 sent 00, fader 32 sent 31, button 1 sent 32, button 32 sent 63, etc. It worked a few minutes before then, so what happened?
(actually, it's 9 faders/buttons in 4 banks, so technically 35 of each and not 32, but you get the idea)

Hi folks,
After a long while we're announcing another update for SynthMaster: v2.8.6
With this update a longstanding feature request has been addressed: MIDI program change / bank change support. Now you can easily assign the current listed presets to a MIDI bank and send MIDI bank change/program change messages to SynthMaster to change the current preset: We also added 2 new skins: Aside from those new features we fixed the following issues:
1. Voice allocation kills only playing voices in release state
2. License key file dialog is not displayed on some versions
3. When saving global midi mappings, mappings there were removed recently are still saved in the config file
4. When hold pedal is released, wrong channel number is sent causing hangs
5. Arpeggiator view crashes/slows down SynthMaster when the control is paging through steps
6. Arpeggiator view doesn't reset scrollbar when a new preset is loaded
7. Added new "record note duration" option while recording arp sequences
This is gonna be our last update for SynthMaster until we release SynthMaster One in January
Enjoy!

I know this is the last longstanding "visual bug" we need to fix. Just give me some time to finish my work on SynthMaster One, I am going to arrange the Synth FX tab correctly.sircuit wrote:Hi all, I'm having a bit of a signal flow problem - searched the user manual but it does not cover my issue. I actually managed to get the (very twisted) logic behind fx - some that belong to osc area must be moved back for adjustments if used in global fx. Still a strange approach, or an added feature for global fx somewhere on the dev stages - I only own SynthMaster since half a year or so. Anyway, I'm waiting patiently for the 3.0 with nice retina graphics and large GUI. Cheers!

What's Synthmaster One?
Just downloaded the most recent demo, just because of the blue skin, which might enable me to use SM for the first time.

A new single layer wavetable version that looks to fit into a rack with Hive/sylenth/spire and such. Looks like a blast to me. The classic blue is still the best skin.

Well, yes it'll have wavetable stuff properly implemented but aside from that we'll have "analog" multi single cycles/wavetables/noise samples from:Dasheesh wrote: A new single layer wavetable version that looks to fit into a rack with Hive/sylenth/spire and such.
