I tried connecting to the clouds outside my window but nothing happened. Is this a bug?

no, its a scheme to remote into your computer.

don't trust plugins that connect directly to "the cloud" :scared:

Hey guys,
You can use the plugin in offline mode if you wish, just like any VST
When the login popup appears, close it and the VST will stay offline.
If you delete the "Soundslates MPA" app, the VST will always stay offline.

In offline mode, you won't have access to the Sound library, and you can use the sampler only with your own samples and sfz files.
We might include more built-in sounds in the next versions for offline users

thanks!

OK, then I decided to check it out :)

So I created a free account, downloaded and installed the desktop client, and logged into that.

But then I kind of get lost, I can see samples in that client, and also a link to plugins, but no mention of Moody Sampler?

I try to download something, but as I have clicked on the samples, it starts to download them as well, and after 200MB my "free" connection is cut for the day.

In my Documents folder I can see samples. Also some plugins, but no Moody Sampler. The plugs are of filetype *.sos

How are these supposed to be used in a DAW like FL Studio offline?

Really need a manual to get to grasp with this, but can't find one :help:

Glad that you've decided to try it out!

To answer your questions:

Sound library in client:
-In the client app, the entire Sound library is accessible, it includes Audio loops and samples, as well as sampler instruments.
-You can download the sampler instruments from the client interface, or directly in the sampler (it will trigger the download via the client)

Download limit:
-Free accounts are limited to 200 downloads, wether it is instrument or samples files.
-Premium accounts are unlimited

If you send me your username, we can upgrade your account for free, since we are at the very start :D

Find and use the sampler:
-The sampler works just like any plugin, it should have been installed in your VST/VST3 folder, as a .dll file (if you are on windows)
-In FL studio, scan for new audio plugins, the Moody sampler should then appear in the list of available plugins
-We've been testing in FL studio, it should run smoothly
-.sos plugins are effects meant to be used in the sampler, they won't run in FL studio

User manual:
-We'll be adding a full user manual for the audio features very soon
-Meanwhile, you can get an over view of the MPA client and Sampler in our online tutorials, for the sampler it mostly covers how to download and manage instruments files.

Thanks for testing, feel free to let me know if you have more issues...

Yes, I see now that the VST2 32 and 64 bit have been installed to the program files/Steinberg/VST folder by default, and the VST3 32 and 64 bit installed in the program files/common files/VST3 folder

I got no prompt about what was installed or where to install it when I installed the desktop app, that is what left me confused I guess.

I have set my own folder for VST plugs, so that is why I didn't find it before.

Got the VST2 64 bit version loaded up in FL Studio now, and can use it even though I am offline. Works fine loading my own wav files, so look forward to checking it out further :)

The inbuilt effects (sos files) look incredible and work well.

I guess this will be one of the best freebies of the year 2016

Moody sampler gets a fresh look
Moody sampler gets updated with a fresh new fresh look. Not only does it look better, but it also comes with new features such as: MIDI learn, MIDI transpose, velocity routing and much more

Hmm, that's a pretty good looking plugin, going to try it (and the rest too) even though I sure don't need another sampler being a Ableton user.

BTW, download popup said "Windows 8 minimum" or such.
