Hi
A friend asked me how many computers you can install Orion Platinum onto - he has 3!
Also what the copy protection scheme is - which might answer the first question.
Thanks Flipper.

The Orion license states:
Nick
That's not exactly crystal clear but I would expect that to mean that you may install it on one machine only. If you wish to use it on another machine you may do so but only if you remove it from the original machine first. In matters like this it's best to play safe and I can't see it being the case that you're allowed to pay for the software once and run it on three machines simultaneously. BTW, the copy-protection method does not determine whether it is legal to run on more than one machine.Unless you have purchased additional licenses, you may only install and use a single copy of the Software on a computer, and/or move the software to another computer, provided that you are the only individual using the software.

Use ORION Platinum and VAZ Modular. Is there anything else you'd like me to help you with today?

Well, to quote the author of the Orion at Synapse Audio forums:
So I doubt Richard has anything against if you install it to all your thre computers with the one serial number, even though the license states otherwise.Richard: It's possible yes, since it's purely CD / Serial Number based.

That comes back to my last point about the copy protection mechanism determining the license. I haven't read the discussion on the official forum but your quote just tells me that it's physically possible to install on many machines (which it is). I doubt the author of the software would approve anyone taking money out of his own pocket though. Meh, wouldn't want to put words in his mouth.
