I don't think electro was actually submitting either monark or reaktor 6 - just asking about a comparison to softube modular.

Ahh ok. Sorry guys :)

Actually, I love Monark.

I forgot about that - I lost a good few hours down the rabbit-hole with re-pro and protoverb. I wonder how far u-he will take re-pro in terms of modulation etc.

This thread has given me serious lusting for Tone2's Icarus though - the demo sounds amazing to my ears.

No. It's an effects processor. That's the reason I didn't buy it, but I did buy Aalto & Kaivo.

I'm waiting for AAS Tassman 5. When I spoke to someone from AAS at the end of 2015, he said to expect it sometime in 2016. We can only hope.

Well i own the Waves Element 2, sounds nice but is not supported on older VST host like FL Studio9. Fl thinks it is a effect, and load perfect in a mixer channel. I don't understand, i have an Electra2, Monopoly, M1, Synthmaster, they all work perfect...But it seems a VST is not always a VST. If i had known i would not have bought it. I seems to be on there website that it only support fl after 12. I DO NOT going to buy that only because this synth, and having it downloaded and installed in a vst folder of choice, pfff don't get me started.

No for me, it is on the bottom, just because it is a VST that is picky.

It's old and overhyped
Blimey.... who exactly overhypes it? lol. I've never seen it mentioned anywhere other than in the odd post here at kvr.

Oh okay I see.. Yeah I do get that. Vaz does do a convincing impersonation of the tonal qualities of some analogs but it's definitely missing something too. I always found it had a slightly 'wheezy' metallic quality with some types of patches - a bit thin sounding. It did serve its purpose for a while though. I had fun with vaz plus for a few years.

Someone on this forum tried to convince me Vaz was doing a better Arp sound than Gforce Oddity. Maybe you can find that old post.
