What's crazy is Cubase 8.5 has the worst performance on my MacBook. My understanding is Pro Tools and Cubase are both affected by the GUI sluggishness issues with ElCapitan.TheoM wrote:ok same as me, the haswell 2.8, 16gb ram.. same OS too, only difference is the radeon vs nvidia here.. It's just that S1 in particular runs *very* poorly on our macbooks, so it's why you need to transform so often. I bet you could do your projects in realtime with logic, or bounce very little. Same with PT.billcarroll wrote:the specs:TheoM wrote:Well, what cpu do you have Bill?

If it weren't for the performance issues, I'd still be working primarily in Cubase 8.5.TheoM wrote:cubase is definitely affected by the gui.. pro tools is only affected on mixer metering when certain plugins are open. But the cpu perf is great. Regardless, it annoys me enough that i'm going back to yos.. and on my imac, i use yos.. PT runs like a dream on that, 2011 machine. But as long as you're happy!
