I plan on buying a music-only computer in a couple months. Should I shell out the additional $500 for the C2? The major differences (to me, anyway) are the faster FSB and the 1GB of DDR RAM.

Oh, don't get me wrong, they're fine machines. Great build quality, performance and reliability. And they're reasonably priced. Except this one isn't.topaz wrote:looks pretty though, you have to admit.

pre built pc's are kinda like estate angents to me.

Yeah, the $1900 price tag made me go

I was fairly keen on the Shuttle-style PC for a while, but the lack of expandability really crushed that one.

You can build that same machine for $1000. quite easy... The real question is, are their "tweaks" worth another $1000. ??? Every PC I've built worked quite well as a DAW... Probably the most important thing: don't connect it to the internet!!
