In my opinion you should set the volume in the VST plug-ins' editor. The way it works: RapidComposer passes MIDI data to the VST plug-ins, which they process and send back audio samples. There is no volume setting possibility other than sending MIDI controller events to the plug-in. With the Mixer panel you were able to set a gain for each plug-in but that was just a multiplier, not a real volume control, which is in the plug-ins. If the sound level is low in the plug-in, multiplying the samples may not give the best results. Please correct me if I am wrong.magicmusic wrote:I notice there is Sample Tank 3, MUX instruments, maybe other VST too, they do not support controller 7 for volume and controller 10 for pan. so it is only with expression possible to change volume. but expression change on velocity layer instruments lots more. because no Mixer in RC3 what can do now. My idea is do add a switch that volume slider can change the volume /pan of the VST instrument so volume pan in RC tracks can work on all VST
However very soon there will be a new unexpected feature added, that will solve this problem. I cannot tell more about that
