remind me back in the day what was the juno 60 known for ?

Basses? leads ? keys ?
All of the above and some more pads, strings & fx.It was a great all rounder
Indeed, a synth capable of some great pads (as heard above), bass, strings, etc much like the original hardware.

I recently discovered this jewel. This things sounds so smooth, so awesome. With U-NO-LX, along with The Legend and RePro-1, I am in a vintage synth heaven. Great to have this kind of quality!

This thing still sounding amazing in 2021.

Roland just released their juno 60 plugin. Wonder if it eventually sounds better than Tal. Tal has not had proper competition until now because Roland and Cherry Audio were emulating the 106 so I’m curious to see/hear.

I tried them this morning, but I may be biased.
The Roland added features but for me not an improvement in sound at all.
There is a 'rawness' to Tal stuff that reminds me so much of when I actually played hardware analog stuff.
To me the Roland one sounded more hifi, more polished and refined.

For sure it didn't make me want to buy it or make me less happy with the Tal U NO LX which i have had for years.

Although of course Arturia modeled the Juno 6 not the 60, that one appealed to me a lot.

Arturia released a very good Juno-6 emulation a few months ago.

I even demoed it and and now totally forgot about that one tbh. I suppose I didn’t like it.
