Isn't development quite dead? Last thing i read from the dev was that he had to take a full time job, because Podium didn't generate enough money. And last version from Podium is from March 2014.

It's true that the forum's been dead for a number of years but Podium itself is not quite dead yet... I was a podium user on and off - very nice DAW but I always had cpu spike issues with it.

The latest version - 3.25 - has just been released.
Though things have been slow over the last couple of years, Frits, the developer has said recently that he will be dedicating more time to it.

Midi routing of plugins has, I believe, been on the back-burner for quite a while, though it's been a long standing feature request. So, yeah, Kirnu Cream or any similar plugin won't work directly in Podium as it stands. There are of course work-arounds as you suggest Theo.
To give Frits credit, I think I'm right in saying that he started development on Podium way back in the early to mid 90's and as a one man operation he has at the very least shown his commitment to his 'baby'

Metaplugin is a great recommendation when it comes to indie DAWs, especially in Podium or energyXT, which I happen to noodle around with lately a little again. Bought another issue of CM magazine, mostly for BazilleCM. Made energyXT instantly crash. Runs nice when used in Metaplugin and also offers a whole new world of possibilities.
