I know proper graphics can be quite inspiring for the use of a plug-in, but I have no clue how to write UI stuff in C++ so it's gonna look the way your host shows it.

But look at the bright side: I'm not filling up your harddrives.

bungle: I don't have any experience with 64-bit VST plugins. I don't even have or use any, so I don't quite know much about 32/64-bit compatibility in relation to VST plugins. Also, I'm deliberately using VST 2.x in order to be compatible with as many hosts as possible, but I don't know if VST 2.x plugins can be 64-bit at all, and I also don't know if a 64-bit host can load 32-bit VSTs? And if I really did manage to make it 64-bit, I doubt there's gonna be very big performance-wise speed increase by moving this plugin to 64-bit anyway, judging by the current code. What would be the benefits of making it 64-bit?

It can, if the host has an incorporated bit-bridge, or use a bit-bridge plugin to load VSTs. Otherwise, they are not natively compatible.

For TB4005, personally, I don't think it would have performance benefits being that it already has a small footprint, and it's very fast because of that. The only benefit is opening it in 64-bit hosts that don't have built-in bit-bridge to open 32-bit plugins. But generally, it's good to offer both versions, being that so many people have already switched to 64-bit hosts.

Vst 2 and x64 = yes it is the most common way
X64 and performance increase = yes it does, while the X64 port of the plugin itself does not offer anything, having to run a bit bridge uses extra resources, and in the case of one of my favoured hosts (maschine) is horrificly unstable (jbridge, it offers no native solution) and even native solutions ala Reaper are a pita to use.

But i fully appreciate the not understanding how to make an x64 plugin, and thanks for answering at least, a free plugin is a free plugin, and while i can no longer use it, it was once a beauty

Thanks for your input. I guess I better figure out what it takes to do a 64-bit version at some point. But first I'd like to know if anyone tried the updated version? Are the clicks gone? Did I destroy everything? Is the earth still flat etc. etc...

I tried the new version. I did not hear any clicks but i did notice some skipped notes on a tune
i just did demo-ing the wavestation and mono/poly synths. i had TB4005 doing the 303 type 16ths
in this song. but it would skip random notes so i ended up using PPD's Tritium 303 synth instead.

i was just letting him know i tested it, and posted a song to inform what type of notes
it failed to correctly produce. This is a song that is on my soundcloud page, surly i would
not want to post a tune with a bunch of dropped notes along with all the other
songs that sound right? i think it is you, Sir that has no place in this thread.

So you did post a song that had nothing to do with the thread, no problem, was just checking, oh and just to be clear, when did you start moderating this forum and get granted the ability to tell people if they belong in a thread ?

What you did was spam the thread with a song you wrote (there is an entire forum section for that) that didn't use the synth, all i did was point it out, so, get over yourself.

Well for a bug report to be useful, I'd need to know exactly which host (music software) you're using, and what you did that resulted in missing notes. Or even better: An example project file that I could load into that software. I can't really figure out what went wrong from the above example.
