NI Strummed Acoustic: Inversions and Slash Chords

Hi,

Does the library play slash chords and common inversions?
Can't find much infos about the subject, even on the product's user guide. They only write something like "it will also recognize some slash chords!".. how many and which are included in that "some"?

Well, I own it and love it. But I don't know what a slash chord is.

The concept is very similar to the AKKORD guitar included in prior Kontakt libraries. But the guitar here has been re-sampled and is a much more pristine sound. Dozens of guitar styles are emulated, including 12 string (though this may just be a doubled six).

This is not a "playable" instrument in the sense that you can control the fret positions of the chords. If that's what you need, check out Orange Tree Samples excellent line of instruments. Instead, Strummed Acoustic is literally thousands of sampled chord strums which are then sequenced in popular (and not so popular) strum patterns. The result is quite convincing, and the names of the various styles emulated are, for the most part, pretty close to what you can expect. There are things like 'cowboy', 'girl pop', 'brit pop', 'ballad' and so forth.

Slash chords are chords whose bass note is not the root, i.e.: G/B, which means G major over a B bass. In this specific case, that's also the first inversion of G major.
The akkord library has no inversions and other slash chords.

Hey BERFAB, could you please try a C major while holding an E bass one octave lower and report how the instrument behaves? Then try the same with low G, B and Bb basses. This way we can test if they sampled inversions. Thanks!
