Firstly, Sucker Punch sucked (Zack Snyder films suck in general), but it had some cool music.
Oh yeah, and it featured a great cover of a song that's been covered way too much

Having re-read the OP I'd like to offer...
Sleepless In Seattle.
I know, but it has loads of sloppy/soppy love songs.
Trouble is, I'm being serious.

As for theme and incidental soundtrack I have to say 'American Beauty'.
....................Don`t blame me for 'The Roots', I just live here.

It was only "soundtracks/compilations" thread because we'd recently already had a "movie score" thread.Ayorinde wrote:Having re-read the OP I'd like to offer...

Going with deastman i`ll also say 'Lost in translation'.
Although the incidental score was brilliant as well.
Ok, I missed that... thinking score. So what's your favorite movie soundtrack? I'm not talking about scores either, more "what's the best collection of existing songs that have been inserted into a movie"... or something![]()

On the other hand sometimes such relatively minor hijacks (By who, me?
) can keep a thread from dying an early death.
BTW, did anyone mention Repo Man yet? Now, there's a movie that was reportedly shelved by the new management when MCA bought Universal Studios and it was only due to the fact that the record side of the company started to sell large numbers of the compilation soundtrack that the geniuses decided to release what was to become a cult classic.
I was never much of a punk rock fan myself but I recall enjoying the film quite a bit...
