Hi:

We have released a new effect plugin (finally... )
This is an advanced gate/filter/crusher with three "CV" sequencers and a delay line. A modulation matrix helps customize your effect using the sequencers, and two envelopes.
This effect can behave quite differently depending on the type of sound put through it. Pay attention to the level of resonance on highly resonant source sounds, and use the parabolic saturation (thanx to ephonic and IK - coded module available at e-phonic site) to tame the filter for some nice self oscillating wierdness that won't leave you deaf! :)

Thanx goes out to ezeeboogie, without whom this would not be anywhere near what it has become. Expect more from us in the future, as well as updates to this one within the next few w33ks.
Cheerz.

Hey this is really spiffy Looks great and I have created some pretty twisted sounds!

One request, o.k., two: a manual as it is pretty feature laden, and numerical values for things like the delay.

But my goodness this has potential! :) I took a polyiblit pad and turned it into a fearsome pad-beast. Thanks for all the work!

(And the gui is great, esp if memory serves about beta :D )
..what goes around comes around..

ah, yes... Orion  I am sorry about that, we will see if we can fix it. There seems to be an issue with Orion and step sequencers. Not every time, but a lot of the time. So it crashed on opening?? :(

As far as the other synths... yikes, I better fix that.

Manual: good idea, I will start working on that. Just a quick runthrough of using each of the features. Will try for next week, OK? :)
And numeric values... I think the delay could benefit from something like that. I used to have it synced so that it would keep the beat when changing host tempo, so I will add that back in for next update, plus numeric display.

On the way for next update: quicker envelopes, dual filter, and hopefully some other stuff.

And finally, Thanx everone for the compliments. The best thing I can think of is if people can use this in their music and be happy with the results!

And the GUI : Thanks goes to Ezeeboogie; he took what was a dual panel gui with minimal features and totally worked magic on it.

So, I hope that we can figure out the orion thing: we'll see - I have some ideas. And there will be more presets too; that is something that I dropped the ball on, but will be remedied.
Enjoy!

Please click "refresh" in your browsers when you get to the synthesis page - the links have been repaired, but I don't know how to make my page automatically update for people when they visit. I know there is a piece of html that you put in the code so that people don't have to refresh it and they don't have to have their browsers set to look for new versions... but alas I don't know that bit of code, so... please refresh if you want the other synths.

Cheerz.

Hey this looks interesting! That GUI is a bit special too!

:hihi:

Yes indeed, spoonboiler and me have a new toy for you to play with!

I have friends round at the moment but when they've gone I'll come back and post a little rundown of just what our new baby can do!

This is just the beginning...

Wait a minute!

Wh-what! Shit, I'd better get some work done!

Oh and you'll be seeing more of my work very soon! I have at least two other devs about to launch stuff that have been given the ezeeboogie touch!

Not to mention my own projects...

I'm a busy boy!

Ok here's a little more info for you all, it's not a manual but it should give you abetter idea of what this thing is capable of!

X3NOGATE V1

There are 3 16 step sequencers and a 16 step gate with individual gate length controls. There is also an overall gate mix control.

You can either sync to host or use internal tempo control. You can also set the rate at which the sequencers follow the tempo from 16x the tempo to a quarter of the tempo.

The effect section inludes a filter, a saturator, a bitcrusher and a delay.

There are two envelopes, both of which can have their levels modulated by any of the three sequencers.

The real fun bit is the control matrix which allows ALL three sequencer outputs to be sent in vary amounts to five seperate destinations AT THE SAME TIME.

There are five columns in the matrix. The first two are "hardwired" to cut and res. The next three are selectable. To choose the destination, click the heading button. The destinations are;

Filter colour
Saturation limit
Bit rate
Sample rate
Delay send
Delay time
Delay feed
Volume

There's also a scale control that scales the total output sent from each column in the matrix individually. You can use this to change the effect from mild burbling to insane screaming and growling!

You can also choose to send the output of either envelope to any column in the matrix by selecting them with the button just below the scale control. If you send an envelope to the resonance control this will disable the resonance dial. This is a safety feature.

Also, for your safety/sanity there are safety buttons for each column in the matrix. When in safe mode the output of the column is limited.

WARNING! (or feature alert if you're into the more experimental side of things :hihi: ) if you select the same destination for all three columns in the sequencer you could still create an unsafe output from the matrix.

Right, that should whet your appetites! Now download it and play! It will all become clear...

Interesting plug, love the GUI.

One question though, is it mono only? I've loaded it up in SX2 and it only seems to be affecting the left hand channel, on a stereo track.

I forgot to attach input 2! :dog:

As you know I'm meeting some other KVRers in southport over the weekend.

Spoonboiler, if you read this can you sort it out for me? Otherwise I'll update it Sunday night!

I wonder if this is the issue with Orion? I could be wrong (it has been known! ) but I seem to recall reading something about orion not liking mono plugs.

Also, already had a few ideas for an update... hmm...
