Hi lulukom,
sounds useful to me too but just out of curiosity why solo/mute?
wouldn't be much proper way to have there one Bypass/Active button (checkbox) ?

I understand what you mean. There is an error in the logic.
You don't place variations in the track header, but parameters for variations.
You cannot mute parameters.
You can already mute/unmute variations in the track inspector.

There could be an option to insert a list of variations with checkboxes in the track, but would it make sense?

RapidComposer v3.1b12 is available!

Thanks for reporting issues! In this update several bugs are fixed that were reported in the last few days.

Changes:

"Check For Beta Updates" button added. From now you can check and download beta versions from inside the application.
Track mute/solo logic changed, allowing you to select multiple tracks as solo. Solo and mute states are independent (solo overriding mute)
Fixed: it is not possible to convert a phrase to "Piano Run Generator" or "String Staccato Generator" (crashed)
Fixed: chord detection revamped; always based on the root note
Fixed crash during setting audio device when VSTi plug-ins are used
Fixed: entering note editing mode made phrase generators "edited" immediately when variations were applied on them
Fixed: Hanging during zooming the timeline using Ctrl-drag
Fixed: strange unexpected behaviour of Bass Generator (random notes appeared)
[Windows] Improved: changing mouse cursor shape does not flash and reverts back to arrow e.g. when resizing

Yes, I think it makes sense. It is very convenient, it is not necessary to open the Inspector - I just quickly switch checkbox and listen ... If you can, please do so!

seems this little boy back again
adding "Apply Rhythm" to a track displayed an unneeded envelope icon
reproduce:
start new project add Apply Rhythm variation to track,
save and close project and re open it.
...
new suggestion,
is it possible to have "Color Notes By:" list also in Settings to define it globally at once?
i think it might be useful.

I would like to suggest to add some options to the function Render Phrases.
- Render phrases without converting into absolute notes
- Render phrases with zeroing values phrase variations
- Render track without converting into absolute notes
- Render track, with zeroing values of track variations

Good, I am happy. Feel free to suggest workflow improvements. Sometimes I am not able to find out what is best for most users.

Yes, indeed. This bug was removed once and for all.

for me it is ok, to do it in Phrase inspector, because on tracks i have not so much room. usefull, when inspector windows can store the last position when they are close and reopen again. because i always move them on right side by hand. or is use last posstion possible anyway ?. browser windows can store positions, this i think good.

this bug is still in. i notice it when start rc without play anything, then go to setting audio and try several times to switch from asio to windows mme with last test song, then windows mme to asio, then asio to windows mme without start rc new or close audio setting tab. when 10 times do this step i get often crash. if after 10 times crash not happen, then quit rc and start and do steps again.

the audio change seem a long inside bug. I get the idea maybe a wait time of 0.1 sec help and you stop all output before. i notice when press and hold a key on midi keyboard, and switch audio there come short after switch sound studder when switch to windows mme. maybe it happen that RC access to sound buffers that are not here anymore
