So I wonder now what is the best way to do what I need to do, Melodyne? There is also a stand alone IRCAM Tools TS app, but it has no way to change tempo via bpm.
Or maybe I just need to do it one phrase at a time, printing as I go along.... Hmmmm....
Well, at least I now know that what I am experiencing is "normal." It really should alert you to this much more explicitly in the manual.
Best,

What about my question about changing tempo in stand alone Falcon, anyone know how it is done?
UVI Falcon - v4 = 2026 released - rumors, ads, praise, kindergarden, auto-sampling and off-topic inside!

So, in the editor did you set the original tempo of the samples you want to stretch and then changed the host tempo (or Falcon tempo at the upper right of the GUI).Babz wrote:What about my question about changing tempo in stand alone Falcon, anyone know how it is done?
I find IRCAM Stretch to be one of the best sounding time-stretchers around, so I use it a lot for rendering things offline, although on my Mac Pro at the highest buffer I can actually play 4+ voices at once, depending on the quality settings and engaged processors (e.g. Stereo/Transients etc.). But Melodyne 4 is a brilliant tool as well and works very well in standalone mode (+ you save the time for transferring your audio when working in standalone).

You are probably hitting the wrong button (“...“) instead of the edit button which lets you edit your previous posts.Babz wrote:Sorry, can't figure out why, but every time I try to edit my post this forum seems to be creating a new post rather than editing my previous post.

Ha! Thanks! Now that I know, I guess I was doing really great getting 5-6 voices at 256 buffer!Sampleconstruct wrote: I find IRCAM Stretch to be one of the best sounding time-stretchers around, so I use it a lot for rendering things offline, although on my Mac Pro at the highest buffer I can actually play 4+ voices at once, depending on the quality settings and engaged processors (e.g. Stereo/Transients etc.). Again, this should really be spelled out more clearly by UVI. They do mention it is processor demanding, but they really should provide more details for the user.

All of a sudden I can't open either the Falcon standalone or VST.
Using Falcon 1.1.4, Windows 10 x64 v1511 (up to date) and Falcon is authorized.
The error message I received is attached.
Have contacted UVI ... but perhaps someone here has run across this problem and can give me an idea as to what I can do myself.
Thanks!

Try updating your iLok Software.TexLoco5 wrote:All of a sudden I can't open either the Falcon standalone or VST.

@Simon
Nope ... updating the iLok software didn't work ...
I use the iLok License Manager for UVI Falcon, UVI Relayer and Eventide Blackhole
Previous iLok version was 3.0.2 ... Falcon quit working, Relayer was working, didn't check Blackhole.
I updated to iLok version 3.0.3 ... Falcon and Blackhole aren't working (same error message) but Relayer is.
Haven't used any of those programs for about a week ... only change to my system was a Windows 10 update. Wonder if something was broken as a result.
Thanks!

I assume it's OS-related then, as I'm on Mac I can't check/reproduce it myself so you might want to send an e-mail to UVI support. Most people in France are probably still on vacation so it could take a little while, but maybe you'e lucky...TexLoco5 wrote:

Could you roll back your OS to the previous installment at all?

Windows 10 here
I'm on 3.0.3 and falcon works fine, I don't have Blackhole so can't confirm or deny

I suppose I could roll back Windows 10 ... but I'm not up for that unless I have to ... don't wanna mess up Windows.
I'm beginning to see posts on other forums regarding the same cryptic Fatal Error Message ... software products vary. Reports say adding a new item to the iLok License manager results in the error message for all previous iLok items but not the newly added ones. That's what happened to me ... I added Relayer and then Falcon and Blackhole wouldn't load.
My hunch is that the Windows 10 update messing with iLok.
Thanks!

Interesting. I have had issues with iLok and Windows (I lamented about it in this thread many many pages back) and have since stopped buying iLok protected software. Windows system restore helped me to remedy the issue I was having, but the issue you are facing is different. Has anyone facing this problem tried deactivating all of his/her licenses and then reactivating all of them (all together or singly one at a time)?TexLoco5 wrote:Reports say adding a new item to the iLok License manager results in the error message for all previous iLok items but not the newly added ones.
