I didn't know there is a big screen!
Indeed it fits beautifully on my 27" screen (1920x1080) with very clear image
Anyway after 2 mins from demoing it, I bought it from JRR Shop for $63
I must go now to do some tasks, then I'll come to my new lovely tiger

Papen must have failed in communicating that such an alternative is there, when so many users or potential buyers don't know about it.EnGee wrote:I didn't know there is a big screen!Indeed it fits beautifully on my 27" screen (1920x1080) with very clear image

Special deals
#2 If you own one of the registered Rob Papen instruments, you can request Prisma!
This I saw in the registeration page. Does it mean it is free for me because I bought Predator? anyway, I downloaded it and will see later
I'll write about it later

Perfect isn't it ? For sound design or simply scrolling through the preset manager the large screen is very functional.EnGee wrote:I didn't know there is a big screen!Indeed it fits beautifully on my 27" screen (1920x1080) with very clear image

As an owner of Predator and Blue II I got my Prisma for free. You should get it free as well. Prisma is pretty cool for layering RP synths and adding FX etc.EnGee wrote: Special deals

Oh and don't forget you can change the text color from the back panel of Predator. I prefer white as the red is a bit much for my eyes....

Indeed! Very inviting to play withTeksonik wrote:

$63 ???It's a steal at that price ! $49 for the upgrade to version 2 will get you an even more awesome synth for less than $115. (or is there a grace period and you get version 2 for free ? )
The upgrade I think is not free, but $49 for a new version (supposing some few additional things at least!) is no brainer.
So, far this year I had great synths for little money! Actually the best synths I have are the ones cost me the least!! (Lush 101, Serum (by paying monthly), and now Predator)
Pyrotek45 wrote:too bad his synths sound like freeware
I didn't know that the 'freeware' synths have a signature sound!
Anyway, Predator for $63.20 is a no brainer, if only for the presets!! The presets are top notch and I can learn tons from the smart design of Rop Papen.
For the sound, I like the sound. It is different than other synths I have. I like the light sounds especially. Can be for useful to complement 'heavy' sounds
OK, now into the jungle of this Predator

It sounds like Firebird?
That would be really bad because I remember Firebird, it sounded like crap.
Given the price, it should sound at least as good as Sylenth1.

Huh?fluffy_little_something wrote:That would be really bad because I remember Firebird, it sounded like crap.
Predator doesn't cost as much Sylenth, haven't you seen in this thread that it cost less than $80 now ? That's a lot less than the price of Sylenth
Seems like you aint quite up to date on either sound or vision

I did test it thoroughly and thought it sounded terrible. Just to make sure, we are talking about the Tone2 thingy, right?
Well, the regular price of Predator 2 will be 150 bucks like with v1. And that is pretty much the same price as Sylenth1's.

Did I say Predator v2 sounds like Firebird+ ?fluffy_little_something wrote:Well, the regular price of Predator 2 will be 150 bucks like with v1. And that is pretty much the same price as Sylenth1's.
How would I be able to say something like that before even the demo is out?
So we are talking about the price of Predator v1 that is costing a lot less than Sylenth1 now.
