its not even that bad. i mean...its not good and its performed terribly...but worst ever made? lol...hardly.

Besides, in terms of giving credit where it's due, Joey Levine and company were probably among the most successful at unintentionally helping promote the new FM radio "underground" rock stations that allowed youngsters lacking the dough to buy albums a chance to not only hear Hendrix, Zappa, psychedelic rock and the emerging prog rock from the other side of the pond-Jethro Tull, King Crimson, etc., but even things like the 'other stuff' on the Beatles White Album (which for whatever reasons could not get AM radio airplay

my mother used to work at pacifica radio wbai in new york when i was a child. this was the mid to late 70s when that radio station was popular and culturally important (unlike now). she was an on air personality as well as took care of some administrative duties.
for anyone who doesnt know...pacifica is a network of 100% listener supported public radio stations. npr claims to be public...but it really isnt as they accept government grants and corporate underwriting. pacifica stations get all of their money from the listeners as donations. since that is the case...they (too) frequently hold on air fundraisers asking people to donate....dont worry im getting to the point here.
well...back when i was a kid a common tactic for certain on air talent to raise money was to play this song on an endless loop until a specified amount of money was raised...and it always worked. now there are a lot of versions...and some dj's thought certain versions were worse than others so not everyone would play the same one...but they were in agreement about the song itself.

so let me get this straight, right now a whole bunch of kvr peeps are intentionally listening to music they find bad, listening intently to music they dont want to hear, searching for the worst, so they can post it here expecting others to do the same?

Well you probably know that Pacifica Radio was founded in Berzerkeley, so anyone with an interest in that sort of thing from around these parts would be a regular KPFA listener. I remember Frank Zappa would show up occasionally to spin LPs for "the boys and girls". The usual stuff kids tend to really enjoy-Anton Webern, Edgar Varese, some Free Jazz, etc.
