And maybe make options save templates? I mean the list of options ... That is the choice. What will be saved in template ...

i think define the load/replace options would more logical than save...
save everything but load/replace selected from the list ?
list could be global in the settings
or maybe (in the v4) could be a part of the Track Template Browser
(menus - buttons to activate / de activate)?

I have tried dropping a chord progression on timeline selection and it worked (on Windows and OS X).
I wonder if it works for others.

this problem suddenly appeared after updating to beta11. is there a way i can revert to beta10? i no longer have the beta10 update.

seems odd that i am only one with this problem. my x32 machine is running fine on all other programs. do you have any suggestions Attila? (anyone?)

Update: okay, beta12 works fine on my Win7 64 PC. the problem remains on the x32 PC. since i mostly use RC on the x32 this is a major concern. what could it be?

2nd Update: well this is getting embarrassing! i re-updated again to beta12 and still wouldn't work until i modified the timeline selection color under the settings User Interface. now it appears to be working (!?)

Very strange. The timeline selection color is not used for anything else, just painting the timeline.
I just checked the source code and found that an error message is displayed for any unexpected conditions during dropping a progression. For success "Progression ... assigned to region" is added to the history.
I am happy that you could finally make it work, but I don't like these sorts of mysteries in the program

well it was working fine but then problem re-appeared. i saved my comp i was working on and then started a new one and now it is working again.. very strange. the comp i was doing was just a crappy doodle so if that is the problem then it does not matter. i will keep making these doodles till the problem re-occurs. hope it doesn't!

In fact, many of the problems that have recently discussed here (I mean the location of the inspectors and browsers, + improvement of track variations on tracks, etc.), can be solved approximately so as I have done in the DAW. That is embedding inspectors and browsers in the main body of the field program and its extension as needed. Perhaps optional ...

Perhaps it would be added to the track variations and phrases that have a generator? I mean the percentage regulation of the amount of scale notes and notes of the chord.

Namely a variation, not the generator.

okay, i have been doing some experimenting and i have found that if the problem comes up with dropping progression on the timeline from browser, i must save the comp and then close RC. when i re-launch the program i must hold the CRTL key which prevents the previous comp from loading. i then load in the comp i was working on manually and then i can drag and drop normally (until it should happen again!). all other parts of RC work normally even when the problem happens. it's just the progression on the timeline problem. i have noticed that this will occur usually after adding say 8 or 16 bars. it also happens always when i drag the timeline to the right to lengthen it.

I also think that we need rework envelope editor phrase!
1. It should not be attached to the magnets
2. The line drawing should be soft, smooth, free, etc.
3. And most importantly, a line drawing of the envelope should affect sentence
  for notes within a phrase, and not only at the beginning (ATTAC))) phrases!

I tried hard to reproduce this crash, but I couldn't. If you still have the composition, it would help me a lot if you could send it to me in e-mail.
I'll send you the links to the latest beta version; there is a chance that this bug is already fixed since v3.04.

please look at the screenshot. maybe you can see a easy way to enhance arp that it create sequences as below phrase. all gaps should fill with notes. such an arp can hear in some music. it sound really good. i can send you a video of the seq. but you can hear such an arp in alica keys fallin the piano part too. maybe RC can do this automatic, with an option switch fill gap with notes ?

Edit: i add a song that use rc onboard piano so you can hear

Hi Attila wow, thats really fast add . thanks alot. I get in mind, maybe it is usefull to can set a seperate velocity level to all the notes that add in the gap at once, so that 1 slider can change the velocity of all notes that fill the gap . but i did not know, if it really sound better.

Attila, thank you for adding that to the arpeggiator; it is certainly a creative option to have.

Have you come up with a way to specify flexible note usage to implement the arpeggiator request that I asked about in a previous post?
