Hi All,
i just got the HD 600s and running them thru my TC Impact Twin.
Works fine, i just need to raise the Voume up to almost full and
i understand why. My question is, getting an AMP for the Headphones
would simply give just more LOUDNESS or i will get better quality
and hear what i am supposed to hear too??? The Second Question is
is there something cheaper that i can get by for the 300 OHMS so
i do not have to spend 2000$ on a HeadPhone Amp???
Thanks

Rev up that soldering iron!

I used to use a Presonus HP-4 which was loud but also pretty noisy. Now I'm using an old Rane HC6, which is also loud but much less noisy.
Oh I'm using Beyerdynamic DT770 and DT880, both 250 Ohm models.

UUFFFF...i found for DIY good stuff but not much of a DIY guy.
I don't know if any SoundCard has a good Headphone AMP in it.

I understand, buiding a headphone amp doesn't sound very exciting to me either.
I totally recommend the Rane HC6. The S model on that page is pretty expensive but you can the original HC6 used to ~$100.
I agree that the headphone outputs on most audio interfaces are pretty quiet.
