The poster means that those DAWS do not support VST3.

Indeed, what an odd decision - the plug-in formats are "AAX, VST 3, AU - 64-bit". I wonder if it does use any of the new features in VST3.

And not yet qualified for Windows 10 or El Capitan
hey DS what does "not yet qualified for Windows 10" mean ?
not tested ? does not work ?

Further testing needed - I was just reading the Drum Core web page:
**Many users report success using DrumCore 4 with Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan) using these DAWs (Logic Pro X, GarageBand 10, Pro Tools 12.3 and 12.4, Cubase 8.0.3 through 8.5, and Ableton Live 9.2.2 through 9.6), but further testing is needed before we can recommend it. If your DAW is not listed in this paragraph, please consult your manufacturer’s documentation for more information regarding compatibility before upgrading to El Capitan.

***Many users report success using DrumCore 4 with Win 10. Sonoma has no reason to believe DC4 will not work with Win 10, but further internal testing is needed before we can recommend it.

We'll be doing further testing and likely adding El Capitan and Win 10 to the compatibility list soon. We are hearing from many users that it is working fine for them in those systems.

While Ableton Live 9 (AU) (Mac) is supported, Ableton Live 9 (Win) supports VST2 only and DC4 requires VST3. Hopefully Live will update to VST3. I'm not saying we won't continue to consider compatibility with VST2, but we've been bitten by developing for older formats before, spending dev time to be compatible with a particular software with an older format, then releasing our update to that older format just in time to find out that the particular software updated to the new format. Time lost :? We could've spent that development time on future features, so it was a loss for us and the users. Developing for VST2 would have taken a lot more development time that we decided to put into getting DC4 out the door for the most current systems. Remember, it's not like we dropped existing support for VST2, we built DC4 from the ground up, so we would have to add it in fresh. Still worth considering, we love Live and Acid, which has the same issue.

DrumCore 4.0.11 was released on 08.29.16 fixing bugs and improving stability. Release Notes
New DrumCore 4 screenshot images have just been posted on the DrumCore 4 page and in the press resources.
The DrumCore 4 Shipping Press Release has just been sent.

Our support queue is fairly light considering the number of new DC4 users there are. So far the release is going great!

Along with Bernard Purdie's audio loop availability, the DrumCore 4.3.1 update offers filtering by meter and feel, improved download management, and more.
