Wow, Rack Extensions are expensive2012-06-18T10:02:24+00:00I mean, the individual extensions aren't that expensive.. But they're also quite simple and limited for the price. If you buy several, it quickly adds up to a lot of money.
E.g. there's an extremely limited (judging by the GUI) "analog bass synth" for €50. Not a lot of money, but you can buy the U-He Ace or any number of other, far more flexible synths for €70 - €100. Even some of the more expensive (€200 - €300 range) "monster-synths" give you a lot of value for your money since they're so flexible and versatile.
Same with effects - Buffer Override is €40, a Ring Modulator is €65 etc. There are some great VST effect bundles that give you everything you need for not much more - there are even some good freeware ones.
Definitely a bit of mark-up and exploitation of brand recognition here. I hope in the future they offer bundles (based on a category of extensions or a certain developer). Otherwise I'll stick fully with VST's.JimmiGhttps://www.kvraudio.com/forum/memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=159775
