I can't get Cubase 8.5 to recognize any of my Toontrack stuff. I used to know how to add a new path in the Cubase plugin manager, but the plugin manager now looks different and I have no idea how to tell Cubase to find/recognize any third party VST's that are overlooked by the Cubase startup scan.
All of the tutorials out there are dated and ask me to click on tabs that I no longer see on current plugin manager.
Anyone know?
How Do I Get Cubase 8.5 To Recognize Third Party VST'S?

You have to go to your Plugin Manager in the Devices menu.
In the lower part, called Plug-in Path Setings, you have a + button to add a new path.
Then you just have to rescan.

I thought I was going crazy. I finally found the area that you and everyone else has been telling me about. The catch is that the little window at the bottom, with the plug in paths does not automatically show up when you open up the plug-in manager. You first have to click on the little gear icon at the bottom to get that entire window with the plugin path settings to show up. Everyone fails to mention that the window that I need is hidden UNTIL you click on that little gear icon. No one mentions "click on the gear icon".
I've finally got it working. Thanks everyone.
