@KY
nope, Wackelpudding will use some stuff from Wellenreiter, so thats first!
I´m sorry for the unrealistic date-promises i have done in the past.

@tatanka

I have an ADSR-envelope for smooth fade-in/out for the trigger-feature, but it dosnt work proper with the automatically CPU-save, if there is no note-in/if the DAW is not running.
So i have deactivated this so far. In the next (feature) update it will come.
----------------
Of longer view, i would recommend that you also "learn" Part 2. Its more powerful and flexible!
Dont forget to save the whole TL to your HD (i recommend a new name), otherwise the replacements keep temporarily and are forgotten by next restart!

So mates, now is weekend - i need a beer and a party!;-)

Excellent video tutorial, thanks!

Post

True, good video! Thank you!

I hope it will the same easy way in wacckelpuhding! (It is also a sampler, or?)
(ok i undertood your point ,do it so, but do it fast ;-9)

Post

is there a way to mix the 4 generator volumes?

Post

@robin,

you can, but only indirect, via the Move-Bar (= the xyz-area) or via the simple-filter on each unit.
If this keeps still a wish i could implement a more direct way in the next update.

@KY
i do my best, but work takes as as long as it takes, dosnt matter how often you "remind" me;-)
(yeah, sample-replacement will be similar in WR/WP)

Post

I know that there is the "solo" button on wave-view for any generator but of course (if possible) "simple" per generator settings like volume, pan, solo/mute would be very nice :D

Post

@tatanka/robin

ok, stuff like that is on the agenda now, will come withe next update.

I've noticed something strange.
When using Flex presets in IV, V and VI the cpu spikes. If I hit one midi note it overloads to 150%. It sits at 50% when play is stopped.
This is on a QuadCore i7 Mac.
Every other section I get around 10-20% just running up to 50% when playing lots of midi notes.
Other than this i'm finding it excellent as a soundscape generator to improvise along with.

Post

Hi secret,

i mainly use a quadcore i5 (i)mac.

First Reaktor as such, is a "single-cpu" app: It never uses a second, third... core. Only the DAW will do if you use several instances!

Second if TL is stopped/not playing any note it should fall into "sleep" = below 1% !

3. Tl is "monotimbral": It dosnt matter how many notes you play, it will only give out the latest (single) one (in "TRIGGER-mode", resp. in "autoplay" automatically note-number 48 (=C4).
Even for "polytimbral" instruments and extrem hard quantized-chords - there is no REALY "simultaneity" in NO computer / SW! All actions will ever happen "seriell"( but in such a quick succession, that we always believe: it is "simultaneity".
But believe me, there is nor REAL "simultaneity", only millions of 0 and 1 in an extravagant speed!
Anyway, TL is monotimbral, so if you play only 1 or 43 notes at the "same" time - it dosnt matter! One of these notes is the "last one" and only this will taken. So, there can not be any difference in CPU if you play a single-note or a 55 notes-"chord". (MAybe deeper notes take a little bit more CPU, but this outside the "measure-tolerance".
But yeah, there could be a misbehavior: *(see below)

4. Depending on the current FX, the CPU-consumption differs a lot, but on a quadcore i5 (i)mac it should NEVER higher than 25% (single core). I have tested it with the most CPU-hungry FX by 44,1 KHz with the shortest latency standalone, in BWS and Live = even with the most CPU-hungry FX its always BELOW 30%!
(On your i7 it should be even a little bit smaller).
On my old macbook BELOW 40%. (With moderat FX and latency BELOW 10-20% ; on my i5-imac below 5-15%).

***
In the alpha-versions i have used some notes and CCs for trigger something special. Just only for developing and i BELIEVE that i trashed all that stuff for the final version. BUT, as said, i BELIEVE that i have trashed it all, maybe i have forgotten some (hidden)???
What i really forgot is this in the picture
Bildschirmfoto 2016-09-12 um 12.47.06.png
So mark it all and trash it with the dedicated button (down/rightside). Dont forget to save the whole ensemble!!!!!
In the next update this entries will trashed per default. So far try this, maybe in some DAWs this stuff is critical (in BWS and LIve not)!

If your CPU-spikes still happen, i need more infos (which OSX, which DAW, which Reaktor, which notes...).
Do you also own Effekthascher? Does this happen in it too?
And yeah, does this happen in STANDALONE or only in your DAW?
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

With my system (2011 imac, reaktor 5, live 9) the cpu-very is fine (under 30%, most under 15% and without FX only 4-5 %).

But i guess there are no really presets in V, VI... All this "presets" sound like i have hear in another places befor or sound strange and really random.
I like the presets in the banks I - III in snap 1 but in the other snap (and in the others bank in snap 1) i feel i haved her this presets allways (i cannot say ist the same, too much moving in it (i like thois moves), but often i think: i knwo this preset, ist the same like some steps before???!)!!

We tell the year 2016 and i think you have offering at least 200 presets for using out of the box! Your factory-bank is a bad joke!

I'll send you an email with some details. Yes they are still happening even in standalone.

Post

@secret
got your mail. I will take a deeper look at this today.

Does anybody else have issues with the cpu-consumption?

@KY
indeed, thats true: there are only the banks I-IV filled with unique flex- presets, the others are, just random, resp. taken from another places.
In the next update there will come several master-snaps (each with 64 unique flex).

Post

Hi secret,

ok i have tested it with latest reaktor-player (603 - i guess it is exactly the same architekture than the full, only this nag-screen/restrications should be different)
I have tested booth factory snaps (all flex in your specified area) standalone and with live 9 in some latency-settings.... I CANT reproduce this mysterious bug as happen in your movie (thx for doing this, and your localization/enclosing of the bug).
The last „explanation“ i could imagen - this is a yosemite/reaktor 6 missunderstooding, but i have no yosemite anymore and in capitan its fine.
Maybe its only a graphic-glitch: does this cpu-consumption also appears in the task-manager?

That no flex in snap-1 play any FX is because the global FX (above the LOW/HIGH knobs is set to off - just switch this on and all saved flex-fx will processing).

And if i got you right, you say that the buggy flex will copied to other flex, but on the other hand, that a working flex will also fix the problematic fields?

So yeah, i cannot reproduce this bug (no yosemite anymore), but you can fix it by your own: Just double-paste a working flex in your problematic banks and all fields in this group will replaced by this working flex.

BTW: i would recommend, that you use the first-level USER „bank“ instead the FACTORY one.
(How to do is described in the manual.)
If there come any updates maybe the factory-„bank“ will be replaced. So you will lost all snaps you made there.
If you use the USER-“bank“ you can export this bank in the old version to your HDD and reimport it the new version. So you get booth: The (new) factory-bank and your own User-bank including all your own master-snaps/banks/flex).

Cheers - I'll have a look at this later. Should I upgrade to El Crapitan or wait for Sierra?

There's some talks on the forum concerning Sierra
(and of course all over the net...).
It sounds promising, regarding audio amongs other things.
Anyway, make a back up (or two) before taking the plunge.
Sorry OP, back to the thread.
Love Teppichleger btw!
