Hi Yellukhan, very appreciate your work. Just have watched throughout your video "how to make custom phrase - arpeggio". 3 times. Made my own phrase and save it, but..

I still have no idea how to make my own custom melody generators, not just phrases. Your recent melody generators really generators, I can regenerate them many times, change parameters etc.

I can not transfer my custom phrases to generators. When I click on small magic wand, it just says "Selected phrase is not a generator".
I can change any parameter in your melody generators, but can not save them as melody generator.

For example, I wanted to alter your melody generator to generate only chord notes - and stuck. Any hint?

And, yes, I tried "Chord notes only" option - it does not work. Generator still produces non-chord notes.

Hi Krovatin,
this is how we can convert regular phrases to the generators


about the using Chord Notes only
seems using this settings does the job here

Mode:Chord Notes Only
Options: un select the "Penultimate note is step above tonic (also depends on the chord!)"
First Note: Random Chord Note
last Note: Random Chord Note
Climax: No Climax
this is how the Melody Generator (MG) looks with this settings:



you can save MG presets via its own Save button at the bottom

Hi Yellukhan. Thanks for quick reply. Unfortunately, neither of your 2 tips are worked for me.

1. I just simply have not an option "Convert to phrase generator" in my context menu. Have a look at the picture:



2. "Chord notes only menu" is not working as well, sometimes I noticed that all notes sticks to first chord in progression, but not follow other chords. Picture:



Could you tell me what screen recorder you use, it looks very professional.

I have got RC version 3.04 (64) Windows 7.

according to your second screenshot seems you missed = "Climax: No Climax"

its working here with the settings i described:

No, "No Climax" option does not make any difference. It is still only notes from first chord in progression. But, first, I have to check beta version.

I installed 3.1b13 version and everything is working now. Yellukhan, thank you for your time, very appreciate your help. RapidComposer without your phrases like Hammer drill without drill bits. We need more drill bits ))).
