I've currently moved to a 64 bit host and updated all my 32 bit plugins to 64 bit when available. In Fl Studio 12 the 32 bit plugins are (unfortunately) quite unstable. So I now limit myself to the amount of 32 bit plugins I use. It's a shame because there's so much good stuff out there that is 32 bit only (de la Mancha, Variety of Sounds, etc.).

I also use Reaper in 64 bit mode, the Reaper 32 bit wrapper seems more stable than the FL Studio 12 one.

Still, it's always possible to run 32 bit plugins on 32 bit hosts without any problems. For most use, it will work, unless you're into orchestral music.

32 bit exclusively. :tu:
This entire forum is wading through predictions, opinions, barely formed thoughts, drama, and whining. If you don't enjoy that, why are you here? :D ShawnG

Yes; xphraze will never see 64 bit so I keep Cubase 5 32bit version installed.

Post

No. Nothing i use is exclusively 32bit.

Luckily my comp/daw can host both 32 and 64. There are some old, bitter, and retired 32 bit plugs that i still like to keep around.

I even use some really old SE plugs still. (*gasp*)

Don't judge me.
You need to limit that rez, bro.

32 Lives doing a grand job here - though not many 32bit plugins left in the list.

I would if I could but very few work on my system without crashing my DAW. I think I've kept 1 or 2 but almost never use them.

32 bit and nothing else here...

I have a few I try to use - mainly Hypersonic and the Imageline Mac alphas, but it's getting increasingly difficult on Mac. Mainly this is due to graphics issues as the 32 plugins tend to use older graphics frameworks like carbon - for example Hypersonic and the IL ones show their GUI in some 32 bit hosts like Kore 2 and Energy XT but you can't move anything on them. On the other hand when wrapped in 64 bit hosts I get problems with graphics glitches.

Post

No, I would update to 128 bit plugins if I could. :hyper:

What Daw are you using?

I've heard Bitwig has a 32 bit plugin wrapper, I'd be curious to know if it's any good. FL Studio one surely sucks (on my system anyways).
