Hi! I am currenlty using Mulab and would like to know if there is a possibility or setting up a CC or some form of midi message from another DAW to trigger the play/record remotely in Mulab.

I believe it may be possible but I wouldn't know how. My fiend's DAW is Sonar and Reason.

Thanks!

I am probably not the best person to answer this, but as far as I know, only Reason and Ableton do this because they work as "slaves" to the controlling DAW using ReWire.

There may be another way to do it that is more complicated though.

sure you can, use rewire...works fine with FL inside of Samplitude :)

ok but what about midi cc?

Ableton Live's Play button is MIDI assignable.

edit: Any DAW can send MIDI, whether Mulab's play button can be assigned to MIDI is a Mulab-specific question.
On a PC you may need to install a virtual MIDI cable, like loopMIDI, to send MIDI between programs.

what about it? I open FL via rewire i Samplitude and when I hit play in Samplitude and FL plays too in sync

Sorry I don't use Rewire. Thanks for your answers.

Thanks. Do you think I could send it over between two PCs?

Check into a program called CopperLan.

It can do midi between two or more networked PC's.
And it can act as a virtual MIDI cable when used on only one PC, plus you can't bet the price.
