OK, nice that there are people ready to test! Now I just need to make a build and release package that has at least some chances of working...

But this requires Renoise too, doesn't it?padillac wrote:Renoise has a cool CDP interface: https://renoise.com/tools/cdp-interface

I can (and I am willing to) test in Windows 7 and Windows 10Xenakios wrote:OK, nice that there are people ready to test! Now I just need to make a build and release package that has at least some chances of working...

Yes, it needs Renoise. I was kind of frustrated because of that (I don't want to use Renoise) and I took the big Lua code file from it and made it run inside my front end. That was a good move because now I can also allow Lua scripting in the front end for other stuff.fmr wrote:But this requires Renoise too, doesn't it?padillac wrote:Renoise has a cool CDP interface: https://renoise.com/tools/cdp-interface
I will have to add some visible credits for those Renoise CDP front end guys. The definitions.lua file Djeroek did for their front end sure is a heroic effort.

Oh wow, I didn't know you'd started developing this again Xenakios! Forever grateful for the pre-alpha you sent me ages back. The new modular format looks amazing.

Hopefully I can do a release within a couple of days...
The front end needs a proper name, any suggestions?

I'd personally go with something that simply describes what it is, because (as anyone who's fought with Soundshaper or Sound Loom will know) that's all the name needs to do to sell itself. Modern Frontend For CDP or somesuch.

Ooh, excellent shout nathanj. I always think of Red Bird when people forget that sound morphing is a skill and get cheesy about the impossibly effective morphing plug-in that someone needs to make. The morphs Wishart pulled off in an analogue studio throughout Red Bird are incredible.

Forgot to say: Xenakios, thank you so much for sticking with this.
It's been a while since I played with CDP and I have no doubt your implementation will make getting back MUCH MUCH MUCH more enjoyable.

I ended up doing some rewriting of the code, so a release will have to wait a bit longer. But soon, I hope...
