I thought some posts in this thread were written in 1995 but they aren't.

It's more about what you gain with Apple...

A willful blindness and smug indifference to human suffering that requires "child size suicide netting" and a generalized facade of entitlement to deny infantilism.

Well, right now there's a guy that have perfectly satisfying Mac too, version of OS or DAW, but he is left behind too quickly, that's the real issue here, you are moving on and following Apple, he have no need for it.
Then don't upgrade. You can run a computer for years with the exact same software. It's great... no time spent on updates. You can focus entirely on making music, or whatever that computer is for.

Once a year when Apple "updates" its operating system, your DAW and plugins become obsolete and all developers of plugins and DAWs must set aside everything else in order to resolve those issues.

Welcome to the brave new world of Apple and its own ecosystem! :borg:
Complete rubbish...

First, and most importantly, nobody makes you update. If you install a freshly released full OS upgrade on a production machine, then you are an idiot and deserve what you get.
Not rubbish. Sometimes you have to replace hardware. When it's time for me to buy a new Mac (if Apple ever sells the kind i want), i will be forced to upgrade a lot of software because the new machine wont run Snow Leopard. So, yes, you ARE forced to upgrade at certain points. If i were in the situation of needing to rush to replace a dead machine, i would find your "rubbish" comment rather frustrating. Older, pre-owned systems aren't a cost effective option, either.

OP asks for some software suggestions. Gets platform war.

I hope the suggestions were useful – at least it stayed on track for a while.

When it comes to audio, you've got to try Numerology,
and really (and who f**king cares how it compares to Cubase or any other DAW) you've got to use Logic.

I don't need to believe in facts. They are true whether I believe them or not.

It's just that there wasn't a single fact in what you posted. Nor was anything of it remotely "true".

I posted nothing but the facts. You disagreeing with facts means you are either ignorant of the facts, or purposely dismissive of them, due to your own bias in the matter. ie; self deluded.

Lol. Steve Jobs did a good job after all. :)
