Tested tr.7 demo. , got a lot of crashes..no warnings whatsoever.
A shitty feeling that gets even worse when you have payed for the program.
Test run It for a couple of days and the decide If It's Worth It .
I ended up deinstalling both.

I'm not the one you asked, but I can confirm that T7 really is crash friendly. It happens to me a couple of times when I work on a 3-4 hour session, 8 to 10 tracks, 10 to 15 plugins (Macbook Air 2014).jabe wrote:Did you email support?incubus wrote:Yeah, I'm sorry, but it's really crash-happy for me too. The thing is, besides some known (reproducible) bugs, it is hard to say what caused the crash. The program just disappears in no time and there is no crash report which one could send to the support.

Well, I was feeling pretty good about my purchase...until last night when T7 crashed. And crashed again. And again.
Hopefully just a blip and I can fix and not a sign of things to come.

Ah. There is a logfile that might give them some clues.mojkarma wrote:I'm not the one you asked, but I can confirm that T7 really is crash friendly. T7.2.1 is not currently not stable on OSX El Capitan.
Crashes within a few minutes. It is the less stable Daw I use among Logic, studio one, Repear, Live... don't even remenber the last time on of these crashed.
So my system is rock solid.
I don't like to post such comments about Tracktion
because I really think it is a good soft and I'd like to use it as my first DAW but ... crash
!

I really like T7. I would prefer to use it over other software I have. But I have never been able to complete anything in it because it crashes all the time. After all these years it is just a mess.

I'm a user since T1 and I also keep purchasing Tracktion in order to support TSC.TheoM wrote:
I bought 4, 5, and 6 - no freebies there - simply to support Jules and do my tiny bit to keep tracktion alive. But I can't in all good conscience continue to put money into it, as version 7 is just an embarrassment. It really is.
I'll be giving my version 6 away at some point TBH.
I hope a stable version will come soon !

T2 was the first DAW I ever used - I have a soft spot for it, reminded me of a grown-up 4 track.
However T5 was so buggy (Mac) I haven't even bothered trying T6 or T7.

Wow im kind of surprised to hear the comments about T7's stability issues. Its been extremely stable and smooth for me here. I am using Windows 10 though and it sounds like its affecting a lot of apple users i guess. I hope they work out the kinks for you guys though. When its stable like it is on my system I can confirm its a blast to work with.
