Hi plexuss. Using the alternative UI option in Reaper (which is a generic plugin display option which just shows all the parameters with sliders to adjust them) I can now adjust the LFO rate with no problem. Just remembered that option after posting here! In fact, I prefer using this option with this plugin - I find the parameters easier to adjust and read. Doesn't look as pretty though.

I calculated about 0.28% CPU usage for stompDelay in Reaper using it's features. I think the features and design of this plugin plus the fact that it uses next to no CPU makes it great for inserting into loads of channels.

I bought it. :-P
Windows 10. Asus X99-Pro i7 6950X 10 Core 3GHz (Overclocked to 3.5GHz). Corsair DDR4 64GB Vengeance LPX 2400MHz. RME RayDAT. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970. UAD2 Quad+Octo. Reaper. A couple of plugins.

Well, it's 2-band variable, non-resonant, but there's no indication in the manual about the technology behind it. It sounds fine to me.

The nice thing is you're getting a really good tape delay sound with a lot of other functionality that most tape delay emulations are missing. I love u-he Satin and the UAD EP-34 but they're fairly bread-and-butter (apart from Satin being 4-part multitap) compared to the stompDelay.

Saying "I don't need another delay" seems to be the understatement of the day :)
I'm tempted by this but then I saw a member is selling PSP 84 for $35 in the Marketplace. Now to quench my GAS for a(nother) delay, is the 84 a good addition?

After using the stompDelay and assessing it's character, I can say this: stompDelay is similar in sound to the Fulltone Tube Tape Echo. The Fulltone is a re-creation of the original Echoplex tube model but using all modern parts and engineering. the result is an "ideal" tape echo with lots of fidelity but still having that tape and tube character. I have one. I have also used Echoplexes over the decades. My first delays were Echoplexes. The IK Multimedia Tape Echo is a really convincing re-creation of the original Echoplex - lack of fidelity, unpredictable character, noise, mechanical issues imparting sound quality issues - all the things I love about Echoplexes. Of course the stompDelay includes a ton of parameters that make it incredibly versatile as you can hear in my demo above. but it retains this good quality tape echo sound like the Fulltone.

A cutdown magware version called PSP cmDelay is included with latest issue of Computer Music mag (no 235)

Comparing it to the original, I reckon about half of the functions in the original version is included

Cool! And through the process of simplification it actually looks MORE like an actual guitar pedal/stompbox :tu:

Apparently there is a discount code for the full version included in the mag too? Might have to look into this.

Unlike other FX magware plugs, this one comes with almost 100 presets, and many of them excellent, so that is another bonus :)

It's quite a strange layout, with the LFO coming first in the GUI :borg:
It seems to be a nice (magware) freebie anyway.
How does it sound (the filter, the delay tails at high feedback, and when chaging delay times) ? It sounds more like tape or more like BBD ?

I would have to say excellent

Thank you.
I'm watching the YT demo :

Just tried the cm version all I can say is wow, what a wonderful sounding delay. Big smile reminding me of the tape delays I used in my past. Would buy in a heart beat if I had the money, but at least the cm version will keep me smiling. Setup some cc for time and feedback and the 70s relive with sweeping feedbacked goodness.

I uploaded a messaround the other day on soundcloud of the full version playing with extreme feedback, it's a superb plugin, very Dubby!
