Looks like it's still 2016, as another legend passes. Prince Buster was the inspiration for many bands and his sound was an influence on future genres.

Another sad day for lovers of music.
Prince Buster & The Allstars were one of my absolute favorite bands when I was fourteen. I have such great memories dancing at the 'Tiles' club on a saturday afternoon to great BlueBeat and Ska. Prince Buster's records were not only filled with great music but also humor "Don't call me scarface" killer stuff.
It's that time in history when all the great innovators and musicians pf the 60's/70's and even the eighties are succumbing not only to age but probably the effect of the excess's of that time. I'm just glad I was lucky enough to have experienced all those great moments with all those great musicians and artists.
