Regarding your saw wave, does it conforme to the norm I told you? Can you post it for me to download and test it myself?

That's what I thought. You are not using single cycle sample files. Your files contain multiple cycles. And using a new sample for every three half-tones with so simple material is totaly overkill, IMO.

A single cycle wave file is exactly that: Each file contains JUST A SINGLE CYCLE - 256 samples - nothing else.

Then I realized it will be an effort to make single cycle sample for phases other than 0 :?

Yes, that may be working too. I said 256 because it's how Audio-Term works, and I am used to. It has to do with the way Wavetables work in Audio-Term (and other synths). But there seems to be other formats too. Take this link, for example: http://groovesizer.com/make-your-own-si ... waveforms/ - it seems that they use 600 samples files - the same format as the original AKWF.
In DSI Evolver, for example, it seems that the synth has a way to internally convert any size, as long as it is a single cycle: http://forum.davesmithinstruments.com/i ... topic=39.0

As I said, I chose and mentioned 256 samples because that's how I get them from Audio-Term.
In the end: You can use any number of samples, as long as you get a perfect single cycle wave and place the single cycle wave root at the correct note (frequency) for it to play in tune. Also, 256 is good to do the math inside a program (I guess). There is here a good calculator to devise the number of samples and the corresponding note and frequency: http://www.bertkoor.nl/MusicCalc.html

Note that if I set the sample length to 256 sample, I got a ghost sub harmonic (mask?) dunno if it's related to nyquist theory but I'm making the samples at 48khz 24bit.
Increasing the length I get lower ghost sub harmonic. How do You guys make Wavetable synth sounding so good?

Use this link to devise the correct math for the sample rate you are using: http://www.bertkoor.nl/MusicCalc.html (note: 550 samples will give you an F3 almost perfectly in tune, according to the site). Since you are using 48.000 kHz as sample rate, maybe the best is using the 600 samples per wave method, since 600 is a perfect divider of 48.000. Then you adjust the pitch to the correct tune in the synth. This will probably give you better results, and hopefully get rid of the "ghost" (the root note will be much lower).
You can change the number of samples with Audacity (which is free). Use the option "Change Speed" in Effects, and choose to display the length in samples. Then it's just a matter of change (for example my files) from 256 to 600, and save them as 48.000 kHz. Or if you are using one of your own samples, cut it to obtain a single cycle, and then use the method above to make the sample length match 600 samples.

Thank you so much buddy for this tips and dedicated time. Things are much making sense now. Indeed. Seems I need to alter my samples to 300 or 600.
