I've been tracking in Cubase all day and I just recorded a midi track w/the Amazing String Theory.
Anyway, It's way too loud and the midi channel wont respond to fader movement, Is it a sysex thing? (it's enabled)

I cant for the life of me figure it out,Cubase has fried my brain for the day & I'm going cross-eyed!

Any suggestions, Ideas
thanks

Erm, you have the track in read automation mode and theres volume automation keeping it constantly high?
FT

did you record with the w activated, and then played back with the r activated (might want to disable the w after doing your automation)

Or are you saying that String theory isn't even responding to volume messages even when you move the MIDI fader in realtime? (I don't know String Theory.. I'm on Mac... but there may be a parameter you need to activate in String Theory itself, or it might not even respond to MIDI CC#7 at all for all I know! Anyways, if it is just to lower the volume, it's probably better to do so from the fader of the Instrument (audio) channel (the one with the small keyboard icon) rather than from the MIDI track which is controlling it.
I did get a life,once...but it was faulty, so I sent it back.

Yes,err no, it's not responding to volume changes in real time.
Theres nothing I can do beside lowering string theorys volume or lowering velocity levels in the midi editor.
Bear in mind I,ve just switched to a new audio computer so I've reinstalled everything.
I probably need to tweek somthing in setup :?
