But...in the light of all the download trouble back when they launched Omnisphere 2, I'd either wait a while or go for the boxed version. Chances are the servers are going down rather quickly
I can't believe no one has made a thread about this yet?? :hihi:

I don't think so. Now from Spectrasonics themselves. E. Persing wrote something about the retailers handling potential discounts, but what that means exactly is anyone's guess.
Personally, I don't think we're getting any :(

On point! My local music shop in Copenhagen has it for the equivalent of $363. 36$ saved and you get a boxed version. I'm somehow more comfortable with a boxed one.

Having a look at the download at the official website tehy mentioned that for the download version they do not seem to offer a refund.

So this seems to mean that if you want to sell it you should get the boxed version instead.
UPDATE: actually selling seems to be possible but a ta huge fee...

What i still do not get is that the download version of their products seem to be more expensive than the boxed ones.

FWIW i never bought a product from them so far.

Maybe i also misunderstood it. Does this also mean you could not resell the download version?
Refund and resell could be two different things.

Yeah they are. You can sell Spectrasonics software but they charge a $50 fee and a lot of time it takes then a while. :)

The download is just up and you're already talking about selling it!

If you need to sell a Spectrasonics product....you are no musician :hihi:
I think it´s a case to case process because in general they doesn´t allow to resell a licence but it´s not impossible if you have good reasons. I can live with it.
Waiting for my boxed versions since i can´t download such a huge file with my damn net connection.
I always go for a boxed version for the same price. Also resellers just have the boxed version.
I think only Spectrasonics itself offers downloads yet.
The boxed version comes with 2 (looking like a billionares credit card) usb drives.
Great for a safety back up in a box.
Today there was also the Omnisphere update to version 2.3. as well as a patch library update to 2.3. too.

Thanks for the heads up about the Omni 2 updates 8)

My interest in really buying this currently is not so big, not because it is bad (actually it seems to be really good) but because of the stuff i alraedy own (and/or just bought...).

You could check what i just posted here to get an idea:

Anyway i never bought a Spectrtasonics product so far and as they are quite expensive (especially Omni 2 and Keyscape) it is good to know i you could re-sell them if i should decide to buy one.

But most of these are maybe compare just to the C7 and to some of the EP's.
There are about 30 more included which might be totally different.
Also f.e. i bought Una Corda for a while and think it's unique enough to can't be replaced by either of the 36 inside Keyscape.
But, no hurry. I think there comes a flood of you-tube videos in near future to judge it better maybe.
