VSTi you bought but never really used

Synthmaster. When I bought it I thought that I'm getting the synth which covers lots of grounds for ridiculously low price, but in fact these different grounds are better covered by other synths. I dislike the GUI and not thrilled by the sound.

Also Z3ta was used only once for two small sounds in one of my tracks. But I think it deserves better fate, it's a good synth in fact.

Same here for both.

Good synths but I tend to use others more.

Synth Squad !!!!! Cured me of the "next big synth syndrome" forever. All synths are basically the same. There are a handful of tones from synths I consider usable. Everything else they produce is noise, harsh, discordant, unmusical, grating noise. Synth lovers enjoy and seek that noise. I prefer pleasant, harmonic, organic, musical tones. The primary use of synths especially uber synths is "sound" design. I'm not interested in sounds(noise) I prefer notes, melodies, harmonies, tones. If your back gets up when you hear this, then we will share no "musical" tastes and probably won't like each other either.

This one wasn't over 50e but then, I can't think of anything over 50e that I wouldn't have used. I consider over 50e too much for something I don't use, so I tread carefully.

Failed with this one. I can't just... this is a synth that's like half-of-a-product. The instrument tones it supposedly "reproduces", sound like nothing like those instruments and there are what, three or six parameters you can edit. That's too streamlined even for me. And I love streamlined and simple!

I gotta say Omnisphere. Its a great synth, but I end up reaching for Zebra for those type of sounds....

I used synthmaster a lot, but Zebra kinda of killed it to me.

Zeta I don't use that much, but has some character in sound that I like.

Pretty much neglected Synthmaster ever since i had won/bought a copy from Luftrum's charity auction, but have been giving it more attention these last few weeks and it's starting to grow on me. My initial reaction to it was that the sound itself was a tad "weak", but recently found some some internal work arounds that seem to give it more life.

Bought Z3TA +2 from a friend a year ago, but have only messed around with it a couple of times. Not sure why it doesn't speak to me. I'm usually a diehard for any synth that has a mod matrix. So, don't know what's up with my lack of enthusiasm for Z3TA +2.

Arturia's SEM V is another. Really the only time I ever spent more than 2 minutes on it was when i was playing with Stephen Wey's/aMUSEd sound set. Which was great, but never found it exciting to program my own sounds for it. Thus - never used.

Didn't like the sound and UI was a bit fiddly. Didn't always work as intented I guess. Wavemorphing was nice but there's a lot of synths that do the same and are generally better.

Needed money to buy Bitwig. Definitely going to buy this back.

Didn't use it. Really liked it and if I see a super deal, I'll propably grab it again just to notice that damn, I still don't use it.

Superwave Ultimate sold

Really liked this one too and used it a lot when I bought it. Then another synths came and this just dropped out.

TAL U-NO-LX-V2 sold

Liked it but never really used it. Other synths gave me the sounds I wanted so no need for this.

Adam Szabo jp6k sold

No x64 and synthedit so pretty pointless when I can't have more than one instance in a song. But someday IF mr Szabo does a c++ (or something) version with x64 support I'll propably grab it again. Has some weird sweetness in sound that I like.

Clunky. Ugly. So small text that hard to work with. And Rapture Pro covers most of the ground I needed it for.

Both 32bit. Deep one was pretty lame for being an FM synth but nitroflex was pretty cool, even though the filter section was horrible. May consider nitro again someday if x64.

Korg Legacy Collection sold

Microscopic UI was just too much to work with. Liked the collection ALOT and loved the sound but bloody hell that UI.

TAL Bassline101 sold

Also have Lush101 which I use more. Nothing wrong with it though, retro just isn't really my thing.
